Responsibilities Safely operate school buses on assigned routes to transport students to and from school and extracurricular activities. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and school transportation policies to ensure passenger safety. Maintain order and discipline on the bus to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all students. Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely, including those with special needs. Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents according to company procedures. Communicate effectively with school officials, parents, and dispatch regarding schedules and student safety. Qualifications Train for valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger (P) and school bus (S) endorsements. Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff. Ability to remain patient, calm, and professional in all situations. Physical ability to assist students and perform bus inspections.
