As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring your reliability, agility, and integrity to a caring team that puts people first and values innovation and teamwork.

- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support loss prevention efforts, observe policy compliance, and provide directions or assistance to guests as needed.
- Assist with crowd management, de-escalation, and incident reporting during peak shopping periods, special events, and/or facility emergencies.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
