Information Security Analyst

Sr. Information Security Analyst | Location: On-Site | Contract | Hourly Pay Range: $48-$66

Join a dynamic IT environment as a senior-level Information Security Analyst, focusing on enhancing organizational security through compliance, data analysis, and process improvement. This role involves supporting security initiatives, developing security policies, and collaborating across teams to strengthen security posture within a regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analyze security data to identify vulnerabilities and develop actionable recommendations.
• Design, evaluate, and improve security processes and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational policies and risk management standards.
• Generate reports and perform detailed analysis to support the implementation of security solutions and provide expert consultation to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security policy, risk, and compliance issues, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
• Identify best practices in security monitoring and management, recommending process enhancements to improve security effectiveness.
• Develop and update security-related business processes, ensuring they meet organizational and industry standards.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, presenting findings and solutions to senior management.
• Support ongoing security projects by performing complex analysis of business issues utilizing established methodologies and tools.
• Assess current security capabilities, identify client needs, and recommend process enhancements within information security.
• Assist in the development and refinement of security processes, contributing to cross-team projects aimed at strengthening security practices and compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with FISMA/NIST frameworks (preferred)
• Strong analytical skills in security data and processes
• Ability to develop and evaluate security processes and procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience facilitating assurance engagements
• Knowledge of industry best practices in information security
• Experience with security compliance and risk management
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
