Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN with an active Ohio or compact RN license and at least 2 years of IR experience for a day-shift hospital assignment.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Every other or every third weekend coverage as needed
• Floating may be required
• On-call requirement of 2 shifts during the contract
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skills in circulating procedures and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, scrub procedures, electrophysiology procedures, and triage preferred
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and the second from a Charge RN, no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for interventional radiology procedures and managing dysrhythmias as needed
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict timelines
• Candidates located outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location soon after booking, while those farther away will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees are eligible to return as travelers after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible to work as travelers
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have specific IR or RPR skills
