Required skills :

Strong structural engineering background is critical.

Focus is on structural engineering, seismic qualification, and seismic isolation rather than traditional civil engineering.

Civil engineers focused primarily on site work, stormwater, etc. are not the target profile .

Nuclear experience is highly preferred and is close to a requirement, although they will consider strong candidates from related industries.

PE license is preferred, but not an absolute requirement. Candidates working toward a PE are worth considering; candidates with no intention of obtaining one are unlikely to be considered.

Nuclear design/design-construction experience is highly desirable.

Relevant codes/software should be reflected in the existing job description, including areas such as ASCE, ACI, IBC/IBC-related standards, Section III, etc.
