Paraprofessional Position

Crookston Public Schools is seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to support our learning environment at Washington Elementary, Highland Elementary, and Crookston High School. We are seeking a full-time paraprofessional, 7-8 hours per day, for the 2026-2027 and beyond school years. Qualified candidates must hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED; preferred candidate would have two years of post-secondary education. Salary range for this position is from $19.36-20.35 per hour, depending on experience. Under the supervision of a classroom teacher, the paraprofessional will provide instructional assistance to students in need of academic intervention services. Paraprofessionals should be of good personal character and have knowledge of and the ability to assist in a classroom environment; adequately collaborate with teachers and staff; interact effectively with special needs students and care for their emotional health and safety; assist students with self-help skills; strive to promote dignity in all relationships; and maintain confidentiality.

Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting students in achieving academic success, working with students who may be aggressive or disruptive in class, behavior support which includes physical management (training provided upon hire), personal care, social integration, consultation and collaboration with Special Education and Regular Education Teachers as well as related service staff, and any and all other duties as may be assigned per the Crookston Paraprofessional Handbook and Evaluation Plan.
