Cook Position at New Highmark Stadium

We are looking for cooks to join our team at New Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, NY. As a cook, you are responsible for producing all assigned menu items in an efficient and consistent manner while following Legends' specifications, recipes, and technique and maintaining sanitation standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows Executive Chef, Sous Chefs and/or Culinary Supervisors/Leads assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation.
• Prepares food items by complying with portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains HACCP standards ensuring a high-quality level of food, food temperatures, rotation of product, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen including walk-in coolers, dry storage, shelves, walls, floors, and drains.
• Ensures all food preparation equipment is clean, sanitized, and kept in a safe and operable condition; report issues to lead or supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• ServSafe Allergens and Food Handler, preferred or ability to attain the required food safety certifications prior to working events.
• Elevated time management, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to lift and transport food and other items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays including all games and major stadium and catering events.
• Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training.

Compensation

Competitive salary of $18-$20/hr. commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands

• Constant standing, twisting, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Exposure to loud noises (i.e., fireworks, voices, and audio systems), flashing lights, and extreme heat/cold.
• Ability to lift/move/maneuver up to 50 lbs.
