No Of Positions: 1 Position Summary The Project Manager will manage day‑to‑day project level schedules, financials, and status internal/external. The role manages baseline responsibilities for successful projects, actively participates in day‑to‑day work leading toward project schedule and budget attainment, and leads the project team to exceed construction and financial project goals by focusing on customer requirements and schedule attainment. As a Project Manager, you will develop new skills, work in a customer‑focused team environment, and contribute to expanding network technology for a better community. Primary Position Duties Lead cross‑functional efforts between internal and field project teams to ensure on‑budget and on‑schedule delivery for customers. Create high‑level project plans and milestone schedules (design, notice to proceed, locate, permit, construction, splicing, closeout) for multi‑year construction projects using project management software. Manage multiple short‑duration and multi‑year projects ranging from engineering through construction closeout. Manage project‑level financials based on milestones to ensure proper revenue recognition during the project lifecycle, including invoicing. Ensure projects meet milestones, schedules or timeline requirements, and coordinate changes in scope or design with internal teams. Provide timely project status updates to managers and drive proactive communication across teams to reduce risks and obstacles. Review daily production and develop monthly forecasts to identify material, labor or customer‑driven delays. Attend meetings and conference calls with customers or corporate staff to support project efforts. Support and analyze project finances to reconcile variances in budgets, client invoicing and special invoicing. Drive reduction in PO billing cycle time by ensuring proper work closeout and documentation packages are prepared. Liaise with Accounts Receivable to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies. Support bid processes for new projects by reviewing RFPs and coordinating with Operations and BD for timely submission. Develop and maintain a bid database to analyze pricing. Assist in developing reports and communications to external customers. Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements. Coordinate with the Project Construction Lead for timing, execution and closeout of individual projects. Lead weekly project team meetings. Review crew maps, timesheets and daily production logs to ensure information accuracy. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Position Requirements Valid driver’s license. Certified Project Manager (CPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus. 6–10 years of progressively challenging project management experience; 3+ years of OSP Fiber Construction experience is a plus. Understanding of Fiber Telecom Construction. Effective communication with team members and stakeholders such as clients. Ability to communicate at various levels from field to senior leadership. Lead weekly meetings with the project team and engage in ad‑hoc conversations with clients. Manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of completion. Project management skills using various software. Develop project timelines and associated schedules. Report status, handle escalation, solve problems and manage conflict. Forecast and labor plan projects. Track progress against budgeted schedules and goals. Analyse risk mitigation, cost and change control. Highly organized and can handle multiple projects simultaneously. Operate in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment. Critical thinking and hands‑on problem solving. Identify long‑term projects. Physical Requirements Lifting up to 50 lbs. Required to bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift in awkward positions, stand, twist, reach above shoulder level or work in confined spaces and various weather conditions. While performing some duties, the employee will primarily work in an office setting, but may need to work outdoors in all types of weather, potentially exposed to dust, fluctuating temperatures and periodic high noise levels. The employee may be required to travel within the United States up to 50% of the time and may be required to stay away from home up to 14 days at a time. Education or Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous Project Management experience required. Experience managing multiple projects and leading cross‑functional teams. Experience with budgeting, scheduling and planning a plus. Coordinate and integrate work across multiple disciplines to drive efficient work processes, identify and manage all project risks and enhance customer communication and satisfaction. Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders; ability to provide progress, highlight issues and recommend actions to senior leadership.
