Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides vital Cardiopulmonary Services to both inpatients and outpatients, adhering to protocols established by the medical staff. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures, managing ventilators, delivering medicated aerosols, maintaining airways, conducting pulmonary function studies, and performing arterial line insertions and intubations.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with various invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas.
• Manage ventilators and maintain airways.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.
• Perform arterial line insertions and intubations.
• Analyze and interpret blood gases.

Required Experience

Must possess NBRC RRT or CRT certification and have a WA RT license. Current ACLS & BLS certifications are also required.

Certifications/Licensure

• NBRC RRT or CRT certification
• Washington State Respiratory Therapist license
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
