Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location

Utica, NY | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Block scheduling may be available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 64-bed Emergency Department serving newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Manage and treat common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
• Document and coordinate patient care using EPIC EMR
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed ( Charge Capability Highly Preferred )

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of New York (verified via NURSYS)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric (PEDS) experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS , NIHSS , and TNCC required — TNCC must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in an emergency or acute care setting
• Experience caring for diverse patient populations including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
• Familiarity with high-acuity diagnoses such as stroke, trauma, and cardiac arrest
• Experience with specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
