Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Richmond, Virginia, provides high-quality patient care by following individualized nursing care plans. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring safety and efficiency in care delivery. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Richmond, Virginia
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification prior to first shift; minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience; experience in progressive care unit or critical care is highly desired. Candidates must have an active nursing license and meet education and experience requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a PCU or critical care setting.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, developing individualized care plans, and participating in patient discharge planning. The RN will communicate patient status effectively to the care team, provide direction to ancillary staff, and contribute to a positive team environment. Active professional development through continuing education and self-study is encouraged.
