The Surgical Educator will support the Operating Room and Perioperative Services division, helping ensure surgical teams maintain the highest standards of competency, safety, and patient-centered care. This dynamic department manages a wide range of high-acuity surgical procedures across multiple specialties while fostering an environment of teamwork, innovation, and clinical excellence.

Reporting to perioperative nursing leadership, the Surgical Educator will collaborate with operating room managers, charge nurses, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Amongst a 350 bed hospital, responsibilities include staff onboarding and orientation, competency validation, continuing education development, simulation training, policy review, quality improvement initiatives, and implementation of evidence-based practices. This role is essential in building clinical confidence, strengthening safety practices, and elevating surgical performance across the organization.
