The Heavy Duty Mechanic will focus on maintaining and repairing heavy duty trucks and construction equipment within a small, dedicated team. This role involves hands-on work with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and other major components, ensuring equipment remains safe and operational. The mechanic will utilize specialized maintenance management software to track repairs and preventive measures while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and parts replacement on heavy trucks and construction machinery
- Conduct thorough system inspections and diagnostics
- Maintain and service hydraulic systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols
- Manage and organize tools and equipment efficiently
- Utilize maintenance management software to log repairs and maintenance activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Proficiency in diesel engine repair
- Experience with hydraulic systems maintenance
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Welding capabilities
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Understanding and application of safety protocols
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team
