Job Overview Dixie Plywood & Lumber Co. of Orlando (Orlando, FL 32810) is seeking a full-time Transportation position. The role involves operating flat-bed tractor‑trailers or straight trucks to transport building materials. Responsibilities Safely operate a flat‑bed tractor‑trailer (for CDL Class A) or flat‑bed straight truck (for CDL Class B) to transport building materials to our customers. Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of products. Tarp cargo in inclement weather. Maintain DOT travel logs according to Federal and State regulations. Inspect truck before and after each trip. Report any issues or incidents to Supervisor. Maintain professional appearance wearing assigned uniform and provide excellent customer service when dealing with customers. Qualifications Previous experience in truck driving or related fields; minimum of three years verifiable tractor‑trailer experience. Ability to handle physical workload, including heavy lifting and tensioning straps to secure loads. Must be able to ascend/descend in a tractor‑trailer cab and flatbed trailer at each stop. Flat‑bed and tarping experience. Basic math and reading skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic.
