Location: Remote (EST/CST). If local to Cincinnati, could go in the lab. Project: NGPOS (Next Gen Point of Sale) Duration: 6 months on C2C contract Description: The client has the biggest gap right now is understanding the fundamentals of event based architecture and topics so that when they get into situations where they need to triage and debug things. The current issue is with the MQTT broken inside the Toshiba SDK. The majority of the integrations are between MQTT / RabbitMQ and Typescript in the frontend. We need someone who knows the proper way to integrate a topic or queue with an application and how to configure those properly for Kroger's given requirements.

• Java, Spring Boot
• Spring Integration / Spring AMQP
• RabbitMQ experience
• MQTT experience (HiveMQ, EMQX, Mosquitto, Eclipse Paho, etc.)
• Event-driven architecture expertise
• Pub/Sub pattern expertise
• Message routing and topic design expertise
• Retry, dead-letter queues, idempotency
• TypeScript experience is nice to have
• Debugging distributed messaging systems

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $54.00-62.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
