Job Details Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Cert Location: Clara Maass Medical Center, 1 CLARA MAASS DRIVE, BELLEVILLE, NJ 07109 Department: Respiratory Care Req #: 0000253779 Status: Hourly / Full-Time Shift: Evening Pay Range: $44.88 - $54.81 per hour (New Jersey) Pay Transparency The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview The primary function of a Respiratory Therapist is to provide respiratory care to a variety of inpatients and outpatients. The scope of duty includes therapeutic, diagnostic, educational and invasive procedures for adults. Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT required) Current NJ Respiratory license Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required CRT (if not RRT) Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions) Full-time Evenings 37.5 hours per week Essential Functions Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and supports life by administering inhalants and operating mechanical ventilators. Operates therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators; administers respiratory therapy treatments such as bronchopulmonary drainage. Assists with breathing exercises; monitors physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; directs treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants.
