Commercial Construction Project Manager
Our client is a long-standing commercial construction firm with more than five decades of industry experience and an annual project portfolio exceeding $200 million. Known for its high percentage of repeat business, the company specializes in design-build projects across automotive, retail, aviation, industrial, and commercial sectors, delivering projects ranging from $10M to $25M on average.
Job Description
- Manage commercial construction projects from estimating and preconstruction through final closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Lead subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration efforts
- Prepare and review project estimates, proposals, and scopes of work
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to support project progress, quality, and safety initiatives
- Manage owner billing, subcontractor payments, and project financial performance
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining client satisfaction
- Ensure successful project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, as-builts, and occupancy documentation

The Successful Applicant
- 5+ years of commercial construction Project Management experience preferred
- Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion
- Strong estimating background and ability to lead preconstruction activities
- Experience with ground-up commercial construction projects
- Exposure to retail, automotive, industrial, warehouse, or aviation projects is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and cost control
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills
