About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 09:00-21:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Trauma experience, pediatric experience Description: Seeking an experienced RN for the PACU unit. The PACU unit has 40 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2. Unit staff includes a Health Unit Coordinator available from 7:30 to 16:00, and four Patient Care Technicians scheduled each day and assigned to specific pods. The Patient Care Technicians can draw labs, perform catheterizations, and transport patients. Standard PACU equipment is utilized on the unit. Documentation is completed using the Cerner system. Scheduling is arranged in six-week increments, requiring three call shifts within that timeframe. Floating may occur within the peri-anesthesia departments, including Endoscopy, PreOp, and Phase II recovery. Candidates must possess certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Experience with NIH Stroke Scale and advanced skills in ventilator monitoring are necessary. The unit encourages a collaborative environment with a focus on exceptional patient experience.
