Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)

This position requires a split shift: Monday nights from 6 PM to 6 AM, with two days of mids from 11 AM to 11 PM (specific days yet to be determined).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our team. The MLT will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to analyze blood and other bodily fluids, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, serology, microbiology, and chemistry tests.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and regulations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform troubleshooting as necessary.
• Document results and communicate findings to relevant healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly Cerner.
• Must be capable of starting ASAP; include start date with submission.
• Applicants must live greater than 50 miles from the facility.
