Job Title: Personal Assistant / Household Manager Location: Del Mar, CA Reports to: Private Individual / Family Office Support Team Job Type: Part-Time to Start; Potential to Evolve Over Time Target Start Date: July 2026 Compensation: $35/hour We are seeking a highly organized, warm, resourceful, and discreet Personal Assistant / Household Manager to provide day-to-day personal and household support for a private individual relocating full-time to Del Mar, CA. This role will begin on a part-time basis, approximately three days per week, with the need for flexibility and availability throughout the week as priorities arise. Over time, the position may evolve depending on the individual’s needs and the right candidate’s capabilities. Position Overview The Personal Assistant / Household Manager will help oversee the smooth operation of the home and provide hands-on personal support. Responsibilities may include coordinating household vendors, managing errands, supporting daily routines, assisting with technology, organizing the home, helping with meal planning or light food preparation, and generally making life easier and more manageable. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, grounded, flexible, and highly capable. This person enjoys taking care of people, creating calm out of chaos, and making a home run smoothly. They are not easily rattled, can adjust when things change, and understand that this type of role requires both structure and flexibility. The right person will be detail-oriented, trustworthy, proactive, and comfortable being involved in many aspects of day-to-day life. Responsibilities Provide personal assistant and household management support in a private residence. Coordinate day-to-day household operations, including vendors, landscapers, pool service, maintenance providers, designers, housekeepers, and other service professionals. Assist with the transition and move to Del Mar, including coordination, household setup, organization, and related logistics. Help establish and maintain household systems, routines, schedules, and vendor contacts. Coordinate appointments, reservations, errands, car maintenance, deliveries, and other personal needs. Support meal planning, grocery shopping, and light food preparation, with an emphasis on healthy, nourishing, easy-to-eat meals. Assist with basic technology needs, including Apple devices, Wi-Fi, printers, calendars, and other home office or household technology. Maintain confidentiality and use excellent judgment when handling personal, household, and family office-related information. Provide occasional flexibility for urgent needs, after-hours issues, or weekend communication as needed. Identify ways to make the home and daily life more efficient, comfortable, organized, and well- Handle other personal, household, and project-based support as needed. Qualifications Prior experience as a Personal Assistant, Household Manager, Estate Manager, Executive Assistant, high-level House Manager, or similar role. Experience supporting a private individual, family, executive, or high-net-worth household strongly preferred. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to anticipate needs, follow through, and manage details without constant direction. Warm, calm, flexible, and service-oriented demeanor. High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism. Communicate effectively by text, phone, email, and in person, depending on the situation. Ability to manage a wide variety of tasks, priorities, and personalities with patience and good judgment. Interest in healthy living, nutrition, wellness, and creating a comfortable home environment preferred. Light cooking, meal planning, or food preparation experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
