Coda Search is partnering with a prominent financial services firm that is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their growing team in Midtown, NY. With over $4BN in AUM and rapid expansion, this firm offers a collaborative and dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
\n \nAs a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be a key member of the 5-person tax team, responsible for reviewing external tax consultants' work and managing your own portfolio of partnership, S-corp, C-corp, trust, and individual tax returns. \n \nResponsibilities:

- Review tax returns prepared by external tax consultants, ensuring accuracy and compliance \n
- Prepare and manage a combination of partnership, S-corp, C-corp, trust, and individual tax returns \n
- Assist with tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals and business entities \n
- Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on complex tax issues and regulatory changes \n
- Maintain and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping \n
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors on tax strategy, compliance, and reporting \n
- Assist in responding to tax notices, audits, and inquiries from federal, state, and local tax authorities \n
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in tax preparation and reporting \n
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field \n
- 2.5+ years of tax experience, preferably in a financial services or public accounting environment \n
- Strong Excel skills (proficiency in VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis) \n
- Prior experience with partnership and corporate tax returns (S-corps, C-corps, trusts, and individual filings) \n
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external consultants \n
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tax filings and deadlines \n
