Position Details Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow (CAUSALab) School: Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Department/Area: Epidemiology Position Description The Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health studies the frequency, distribution, and determinants of disease in humans, a fundamental science of public health. In addition to pursuing ground-breaking global research initiatives, we educate and prepare future medical leaders and practitioners as part of our mission to ignite positive changes in the quality of health across the world. We seek an outstanding postdoctoral research fellow for projects related to comparative effectiveness and safety of interventions in mental health (early psychosis, suicide prevention, opioid use disorder). The candidate will be responsible for developing and leading analytical causal inference analyses in international collaborative projects, such as the FEP-CAUSAL and BD-CAUSAL Collaborations. The postdoctoral research fellow will work on causal inference projects in the mental health space under the supervision of Assistant Professor Alejandro Szmulewicz. The projects range from interventions that reduce suicide risk, to comparative effectiveness of treatment strategies in first episode psychosis and bipolar disorder. Basic Qualifications / Education Requirements A doctoral degree in epidemiology, statistics, computer science, or a relative quantitative field Experience & Skills Requirements Export knowledge of R or SAS Postdoctoral research fellows (postdoc trainees) who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply.
