This role is essential in overseeing critical functions such as shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The position demands a unique combination of leadership qualities and hands-on participation, ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently and effectively. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for upholding quality standards and spearheading continuous process improvements within the warehouse. This role is pivotal in maintaining operational excellence, requiring a professional who can adeptly balance strategic oversight with practical involvement in daily warehouse activities./ppWork Environment: University Park, IL Onsite/ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliOversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of goods./liliManage and supervise the shipping and receiving functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments./liliTrack, coordinate, and ensure efficient handling of all shipments and deliveries, maintaining accurate records./liliImplement and maintain quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing goods./liliSupervise warehouse staff, ensuring effective operation and employee performance, including training in shipping and receiving protocols./liliDevelop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout for efficient shipping and receiving operations./liliCollaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to align warehouse activities with broader supply chain objectives./liliMaintain compliance with health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment./liliAnalyze and improve warehouse processes and systems for better efficiency and cost-effectiveness./liliCoordinate with production teams to ensure timely supply and movement of materials and finished products./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpCritical Competencies for Success:/pulliBachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience./lili3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse setting./liliProven experience in warehouse management, with a strong focus on shipping and receiving operations./liliExcellent leadership and communication skills, capable of directing a diverse team and liaising effectively with other departments./liliStrong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple functions within the warehouse./liliKnowledge of best practices in warehouse logistics, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution./liliProficiency in warehouse management systems and software relevant to shipping and receiving processes, with familiarity in ERP systems, particularly Oracle./liliProblem-solving skills and adaptability to changing operational demands./liliExperience in continuous process improvement and change management./li/ulpPay range: $75k - $85k/ppWithin this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements.
