Certified Surg Tech

Unit consists of 5 operating rooms. Current staffing includes 5 full-time registered nurses, a manager, and a boardrunner. There are 2 part-time registered nurses, one of whom is on leave, and 3 PRN registered nurses. There are 12 surgical techs and 4 open positions for full-time nurses. Current day shift has 1 charge nurse, 1 manager, 3 day shift nurses, and 1 attendant. The evening shift has 1 nurse on call and 1 evening nurse until 7 PM, two nights a week. Patient ratios are maintained at 1 to 1. Basic OR equipment is utilized, including cautery, video monitors, arthroscopy equipment, and positioning equipment. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates will be primarily recruited for their experience and skills related to OR circulator duties. Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, and thoracic procedures is preferred. The ideal candidate will be flexible, caring, compassionate, and possess a willing attitude. Candidates must be able to scrub for open-heart procedures. Weekend and on-call rotations are required, including one night a week minimum and one weekend per 5-week schedule minimum. Unit guidelines and policies will be provided during the onboarding process.
