Grants Manager

Title: Grants ManagerDepartment: WMCHC AdministrationMission: The Grants Manager identifies, develops, and manages grant funding opportunities that support Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers’ mission and strategic priorities. The role is responsible for the full lifecycle of grants, including research, application development, award management, compliance, and reporting; ensuring all grant activities align with federal, state, and private funding requirements while supporting operational and financial goals. The Grants Manager works collectively across departments to develop compelling proposals, track outcomes, and ensure successful execution of grant-funded programs. The role also supports federal program requirements, including FQHC- related deliverables and reporting.Authority: Responsible to the Chief Development Officer (CDO)Duties/Responsibilities:Grants Strategy and DevelopmentResearch and identify local, state, federal and private grant opportunities aligned with organizational prioritiesDevelop and write grant applications, proposals, and supporting documentationCollaborate with internal stakeholders to gather program data and information, outcomes for grant submissionsEnsure all applications are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelinesGrant Management and ComplianceManage the full lifecycle of grants, including pre-award, award and post-award activitiesMonitor grant requirements to ensure compliance with all funding conditions and regulationsTrack grant deliverables, timelines, and reporting requirementsPrepare and submit required progress, financial, and compliance reportsFederal Grant and FQHC Program SupportLead coordination and submission of Federal Section 330 Community Health Center grant requirements; including Service Area Competition, Site-visits, Changes in Scope, Community Health Assessments, and other HRSA requestsSupport departments in activities related to FTCA application submission and UDS submissionsMonitor and report on HRSA compliance items and identify risks; including managing forms 5A, 5B, and 5C.Financial and Data ReportingAssist with preparation and coordination of financial documentation related to grantsWork with finance and leadership to ensure alignment between grant budgets and organizational financial practicesCollect, analyze, and report data on grant performance and program outcomesCross-Departmental CollaborationPartner with departments such as operations, quality, IT and facilities to support grant-funded initiativesAssist in conducting market analysis, zip code analysis, including assessing community need, demand, and service gapsGather success stories, outcomes, and supporting data to strengthen funding opportunitiesExternal Partnerships and RepresentationWork with external agencies, consultants, and funding organizations to support grant development and compliancePresent grant proposals, findings, and program outcomes to internal and external audiencesMaintain professional relationships with funding entities and community partnersMaintain diverse funding sources through donor cultivation, fund raising campaigns, philanthropy, and special events.Program and Administrative SupportMaintain organized records and documentation for all grant-related activities.Participate in internal committees, projects, and strategic initiatives as neededGeneral ExpectationsPrioritize workload to ensure timely completion of assignmentsDemonstrate initiative and accountability in managing responsibilitiesPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing, grant management, and project development.FQHC, Healthcare, or nonprofit experience preferredRequired Skills/Abilities:Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including grant writing and presentationAbility to analyze and interpret regulations, funding requirements, and technical documentsStrong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partnersProficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software platformsAbility to analyze data and prepare reports to support funding and operational decisionsFamiliarity with financial reporting and budgeting conceptsPhysical Standards:Constantly(Exists 75% or more of the time)Sitting with back support; lifting and carrying 0-5 lbs.; repetitive talking, writing, computer.Frequently(Exists 25-75% of the time)Standing; walking; reaching (forward, lateral); lifting and carrying 5-10 lbs.; pushing and pulling 0-15 lbs.Occasionally(Exists 5- 25% of the time)Reaching (overhead, low); stooping (bend at waist); twisting; balance; lifting and carrying 10-40 lbs.; pushing and pulling 15-40 lbs.; exposure to radiation, chemical hazards, moving machinery.Rarely(Exists under 5% of the time)Crouching (bend at knees); climbing; lifting and carrying 40-75 lbs.; operating motor vehicles; exposure to chemical hazards, moving machinery, dust, fumes.Sensory RequirementsVisual: close paperwork, VDT used, visual monotony; Hearing: conversation, monitoring equipment, telephone, background noise. #J-18808-Ljbffr Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers
