Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and high-risk L&D experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a 629-bed short-term acute care facility, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Teaching hospital environment
• High-risk patient population including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, induction/augmentation, antepartum care, and maternal emergencies
• Patient ratios: 1:2 for laboring patients, 1:3 for antepartum patients
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Some weekend shifts required
• Floating between units and across facilities within the state is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• No parking fee

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Experience with high-risk labor and delivery, antepartum care, and maternal emergencies required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide active management of laboring patients including induction, augmentation, and response to maternal emergencies
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO requests should be minimal for this position
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 2 years of experience is required
