divh2High School Attendance Secretary/h2pThe High School Attendance Secretary will perform secretarial and clerical duties to ensure efficient and effective office operations. S/he will contribute a positive impact toward the provision of educational services at school. Responsibilities include providing assistance to the Assistant Principal/Principal including secretarial and clerical duties, maintaining attendance records for count and up to date attendance records for each student, communicating attendance absences to staff and parents, data collection/tracking regarding high school CAP attendance policy, sending early release passes to students/teachers via email for appointments per parent requests, recording behavior management for students in Infinite Campus for Principal/Assistant Principal/Dean of Students, communicating information to appropriate administration and teaching staff, providing a positive first impression to visitors to the high school office, directing them to various locations, answering incoming calls, directing calls, recording and transmitting telephone messages to staff as required, coordinating graduation, honors ceremony, and other acknowledgements through the year, preparing and calculating numbers and student information for Pupil Count Day, preparing and maintaining various records, reports, spreadsheets, files, etc. as requested, assisting in special projects as needed, assisting students by dispensing medication, performing medically related tasks, contacting parents when necessary, and caring for sick/injured children, answering and routing incoming phone calls, initiating and responding to routine inquiries, resolving problems, and either assisting the caller or transferring calls as needed./ppQualifications include an associates degree with related work experience preferred, computer and word processing expertise is required, as well as knowledge regarding general office machines and equipment, knowledge of Infinite Campus and CIMS preferred, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, parents, and community, a high degree of integrity to maintain confidentiality on student information is necessary, and the ability to work effectively in an environment where interruptions are frequent and noise level is high. Lifting and moving materials, supplies and equipment may be necessary./ppSchedule: Student calendar plus 6 weeks 8 hours per day Compensation: Level III - $16.66 - $19.49/p/div
