Youth Tutor Volunteer

Location: Either NYC or Atlanta, Georgia Hours: 1 to 1.5 hours per week for tutor : tutee session Commitment: 6 months Welcome to I'RAISE Community Service Volunteer Opportunity! As a Youth Tutor Volunteer, you will provide academic support and guidance to young learners, typically in a one-on-one or small group setting. Youth tutors work with children and teenagers to help them understand and master various subjects, such as mathematics, science, language arts, or any other subject in which the student requires assistance. Assisting students with homework assignments and projects. Clarifying concepts and explaining difficult topics in an understandable manner. Providing additional practice and exercises to reinforce learning. Offering study skills and test-taking strategies to improve academic performance. Monitoring progress and providing feedback to students and their families. Tailoring tutoring sessions to meet the individual learning needs and preferences of each student. Building rapport and fostering a positive learning environment to boost students' confidence and motivation.
