Manager - Data & AI Acceleration (Hybrid)

Manager role developing and deploying modeling, statistical, and AI solutions within a Data & Statistical Sciences team. Responsible for building tools that automate capabilities across R packages, dashboards, and agentic AI frameworks to support pharmaceutical development decision-making.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain M&S and AI solutions for prioritized use cases across R, dashboards, and agentic frameworks
Build tools addressing adoption gaps while meeting end-user needs in clinical development contexts
Assess feasibility and architect solution designs, determining appropriate technical approaches
Create and maintain benchmark test sets to ensure output quality, accuracy, and reproducibility
Iterate on deployed tools based on user feedback, bug reports, and changing requirements

Requirements

Master's degree with 5-7 years experience, or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related quantitative field with 2+ years
Strong hands-on development experience in R
Experience building interactive dashboards and data applications
Experience with agentic AI development, tool-use agents, and retrieval-augmented generation
Statistical knowledge and familiarity with clinical development and trial design
Software engineering best practices including version control, testing, and CI/CD
Ability to communicate and collaborate iteratively with stakeholders
