Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

The role involves providing comprehensive quality nursing care and telemetry monitoring to patients with cardiovascular conditions, focusing primarily on Heart Failure management. Nurses will administer intravenous and oral medications, prepare patients for diagnostic tests and cardiac interventions, and deliver holistic patient care.

Responsibilities

• Continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring.
• Administer intravenous and oral medications for cardiac conditions.
• Prep and assist patients for cardiac interventions and surgeries.
• Provide holistic care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience in cardiac telemetry required; 3 years preferred for first-time travelers.
• 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic medical records is necessary.
• Current SC RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
