Job Details Travel Nursing position – Registered Nurse (Operating Room) in Jacksonville, Florida. Start Date: 07/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Pay: competitive with 401(k) match, benefits day one, reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Job ID: 1935424 Responsibilities Prepare the operating room and ensure equipment and sterile supplies are ready for each surgical procedure. Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and comfort during surgery. Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols. Provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team efficiently. Monitor patient condition during surgery and document significant changes. Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and sterility processes. Collect, label, and transport specimens accurately. Document all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting. Participate in handoff communication during pre- and post-operative phases. Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure compliance with policies and standards. Follow hospital safety rules, including PPE and infection prevention measures. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC), or ENPC certifications. OR Nursing Certification (CNOR). Additional certifications and licenses as may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communication in English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical Abilities – able to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal Skills – work effectively with a variety of personnel, positive attitude, professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills – grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures and equipment. Mental Requirements – cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without close supervision, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration to detail.
