Sales Coordinator

Job Summary

A growing sales organization in the residential and commercial construction industry is seeking a Sales Coordinator in Columbia, SC. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a customer-focused sales support professional who enjoys helping prospects through a detailed, exciting sales process from initial inquiry to showroom appointment and beyond.

The Sales Coordinator will support a busy sales team, communicate with leads and walk-in customers, and help coordinate important details involving customers, banks, attorneys, and internal team members. This role offers a professional, team-oriented environment, supportive leadership, and room for future growth for someone who brings energy, urgency, organization, and a polished customer service approach.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the sales team by assisting customers throughout a complex, relationship-driven sales process.
- Contact incoming leads to provide initial information and schedule showroom appointments.
- Welcome walk-in customers and create a positive, professional first impression.
- Follow up quickly on customer questions, documentation needs, and sales process next steps.
- Coordinate with banks, attorneys, customers, and internal team members to help support the loan process.
- Maintain accurate details, communication notes, and follow-up items to keep the sales process moving smoothly.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Starting pay of $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, plus commission.
- Full-time hourly position.
- Position is onsite and sales office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Schedule is 5 days per week.

- Provide a warm, professional showroom experience for walk-in customers and scheduled appointments.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant sales support, sales coordination, customer service, or related experience.
- Strong sales background with the ability to understand and support a customer-focused sales process.
- Excellent communication, follow-up, and customer service skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to respond quickly to customer and team needs.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage important process steps accurately.
- Professional presentation and comfort interacting with customers, banks, attorneys, and sales professionals.
- Engaging, welcoming personality with confidence assisting walk-ins and prospective customers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in residential construction, commercial construction, real estate, homebuilding, showroom sales, or a related industry.
- Prior experience supporting a commissioned sales team.
- Familiarity with loan, financing, closing, or documentation processes.
- Ability to grow into expanded sales support or customer-facing responsibilities over time.
