Director of Sales and Marketing

Govig Healthcare Group, the leading executive search firm in senior housing, has been retained by Franciscan Ministries to identify an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing for their senior living community in Lemont, IL. This individual will lead the community’s sales and marketing efforts, develop strategies to drive occupancy, and oversee the full customer journey from initial inquiry through move-in. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong senior living sales experience and the ability to coach a team, build relationships, and achieve occupancy goals. Job Responsibilities Develop and execute the community’s overall sales and marketing strategy. Lead sales, marketing, outreach, and business development efforts. Drive lead generation, prospect engagement, deposits, move-ins, and occupancy growth. Lead, coach, and develop the sales and marketing team. Establish clear goals, expectations, and performance standards. Monitor lead activity, conversion rates, occupancy, and marketing results. Build relationships with prospects, families, referral sources, and community partners. Plan and participate in marketing events, presentations, and outreach initiatives. Oversee the customer experience from initial inquiry through move-in. Maintain accurate CRM documentation, follow-up activity, forecasting, and reporting. Evaluate market conditions and competitive positioning to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with community leadership and corporate partners to achieve organizational goals. All Potential Candidates Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. At least five years of successful sales experience within senior living. Previous experience leading a sales or marketing team. A proven record of achieving occupancy, sales, or revenue goals. Experience with senior living expansions, new developments, pre-sales, or fill-up initiatives. Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. A compassionate and consultative approach to working with prospective residents and families. Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office. A self-motivated, organized, and results-driven leadership style.
