Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working with students with blindness or visual impairments
• Familiarity with adaptive technologies and instructional strategies for students with visual needs
• Comfortable providing direct in-person services twice per month
• Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to a student with blindness/visual impairment through two 30-minute, in-person sessions each month
• Collaborate with school teams, therapists, and families to ensure the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Document progress, adapt teaching materials, and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional strategies
• Serve as an educational advocate and resource for student and staff needs related to visual impairments
