Program Manager II

Responsibilities Oversee total Program Integration Management for multiple complex projects and major systems, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning. Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance. Manage high-risk programs with budgets of $20M or greater, involving high customer interaction. Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful project outcomes. Lead proposal tasks from first customer interaction, including defining requirements, creating basis of estimates, negotiating, and securing contract awards. Participate in business resource planning and tracking in coordination with other corporate entities. Identify, track, and resolve program issues and problems. Manage program risks by identifying, mitigating, tracking, and managing them. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field. 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry. 3+ years leading medium scale projects; scope spanning 1-2 years, while leading teams made up of 5+ cross functional team members. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required. Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes. Experience with managing a complex project or larger program. Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible. Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Program Integration Management, focusing on customer relationships, cost management, and technical planning within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
