Position Details CDL A License required Pay: Average weekly earnings of $1,700–$1,800 after training, with the potential to earn $3,000+ per week. Schedule: 4-day work week with routes scheduled Sunday–Saturday on a rotating basis. Dispatch times range from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with end times varying based on route assignment. Opportunities are available on routes that may include working with a partner or operating independently, depending on business needs and route structure. Driver-Friendly Equipment: Nearly 50% of our fleet is equipped with lift gates to improve efficiency and reduce the physical demands of unloading at customer locations. Position Purpose Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition, but they are the face of our company—building lasting relationships with customers. Primary Responsibilities Communicate and interact with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly. Function as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform duties to best serve the company. Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; ensure equipment meets company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safety issues and/or repairs required. Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report all safety hazards. Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products. Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly related to freight. Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed, then drive to and deliver customer orders according to the route schedule. Unload products from the trailer and transport them to designated customer storage areas. Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy. Verify delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures. Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are secured when unattended. Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork; unload all equipment, remove trash from trailers as required. Complete daily records of hours of service and enter logs in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements. Perform general housekeeping in the tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clean and organized. At the end of shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED 6 months commercial driving Valid CDL-A Must be 21+ years of age Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable) Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for past 3 years Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check Pass road test Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure a new DOT Health Card Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight (10–35 pounds commonly, up to 60–90 pounds depending on location) Compensation Upward potential of $3,000 a week. #J-18808-Ljbffr
