The Restaurant Assistant Manager supports daily operations in a full-service dining environment and reports to the owner or operator. This role supervises shifts, builds positive guest experiences, completes closing procedures, maintains inventory, and supports new-hire training as well as ongoing coaching and evaluations. No travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise restaurant shifts and coordinate daily floor operations.
- Deliver attentive, professional guest service and resolve customer concerns.
- Complete closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control activities.
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards and procedures.
- Conduct new-hire training and provide ongoing coaching and evaluations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in restaurant management.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and point-of-sale systems.
- Experience with inventory management and cash management.
- Understanding of food safety compliance requirements.
- Strong customer service skills.
