Stroke Program Manager

Position Summary: Responsible for development and daily operation of the Stroke Center at UTMC. Ensures quality and continuity of Stroke Center patients. Responsible for recruitment and retention, performance review, and professional development; involved in the budget formulation process and quality outcomes; and helps to plan for, organize, and lead the delivery of nursing care for a designated patient care area. A leader that communicates organizational vision and values and asks for the involvement of the work group to achieve target performance in quality, safety, service, efficiency and effectiveness. Position Qualification: Education Degree / Diploma Type Program Required/Preferred (and/or) Bachelors Nursing Required Masters Nursing Preferred Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee Experience Years of Experience Type of Experience Required/Preferred (and/or) Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensure, Certification, Registration ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support RN Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee or Multi-State Compact License Additional License/Cert/Registration Info Comments BLS Basic Life Support Comments ASLS Preferred Prefer neuro focused specialty certification (CNRN, SCRN, NVRN-BC, ASC-BC). Willingness to commit to achieve specialty certification after hire will be considered.
