Technician III/Heavy-Duty Diesel MechanicPay: $34.00/hour + overtime opportunitiesWe're hiring an experienced Technician III / Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our company-owned fleet of Class 4–8 diesel and CNG vehicles and heavy equipment.If you're an experienced Diesel Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Field Service Technician with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, we want to hear from you.What You'll DoPerform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on Class 4–8 diesel and CNG trucks and heavy equipment, including on-site repairs and road callsDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, airbrake, steering, and suspension systemsUse diagnostic tools and manufacturer software, including Dossier, Cummins INSITE, and PACCAR DAVIE4Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and complete necessary repairsPerform welding and fabrication as neededAccurately document repairs, parts used, and labor timeIdentify and communicate repair needs and safety concernsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentSupport fleet uptime and participate in ongoing technical trainingWash or detail equipment when neededWhat You'll BringRequired:High school diploma or GED5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience OR equivalent technical certificationsExperience maintaining and repairing Class 4–8 vehicles and heavy-duty equipmentProficiency with diagnostic software, diagnostic equipment, power tools, and shop equipmentValid Class C Driver's LicenseAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and follow established safety proceduresStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to meet the physical demands of the position, including frequent walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and operating tools and equipmentPreferred:Class A or B Driver's LicenseSolid waste or transportation industry experienceWelding experience and/or certificationBenefitsOpportunities for overtime based on operational needsMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchFSA with Employer ContributionLife & AD&D Insurance, with supplemental optionsPaid Time Off, Holidays & Paid Sick LeaveEmployee Discounts & Wellness ProgramsTraining & Career Growth OpportunitiesCommunity Engagement OpportunitiesBring your experience and technical skills to a team that depends on safe, reliable equipment every day.
