The Cardiology Division at our organization is on the lookout for a full-time Electrophysiologist to fill the role of Assistant or Associate Professor within our expanding academic team. This position provides a unique chance to engage in a comprehensive range of electrophysiology practices in a supportive academic setting.
To address the growing demand, we are enhancing our team, which currently consists of 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers. Established in 1839, our institution is one of the oldest private medical schools in the nation and hosts the only academic tertiary care hospital in the Capital Region.
Primary Responsibilities:- Manage outpatient electrophysiology clinics, including outreach initiatives.
- Conduct inpatient consultations for electrophysiology.
- Perform ablation procedures and implant devices.
- Collaborate with faculty in advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging.
- Contribute to the education and training of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers.
- MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology.
- Strong clinical focus with research experience and teaching capabilities suitable for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor.
- Leadership skills and attributes are highly regarded.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and advancing the cardiology field. Experience in complex ablations, lead extraction, and advanced device therapy is preferred.
- Capability to teach, mentor, and work alongside medical students, residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
- Eligibility for academic appointment and medical licensure in New York State.
- Attractive base salary ranging from $435,000 to $500,000 based on academic rank, with additional incentive pay after the first year of employment.
