About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License in Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2 years Level 1 or 2 Trauma Experience Scrub and OR Circulator experience Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and code of conduct. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation. Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in the area of responsibility. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time. Lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Usually works in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., and kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally.
