The Surgical Tech II assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. High School or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience Completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider CST-Certified Surgical Technologist

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

Two (2) years scrubbing experience preferred

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies. Requires communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
