Description The Project Manager IIreflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects targeted at advancing the goals of the Northwestern Medicine Strategic Plan with an emphasis on institutional level initiatives that integrate people, process and technology. PMs use project management, change management, meeting facilitation, communication skills and other skills in advancing these efforts. Responsibilities Manage small to large scale enterprise project using strong project management and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate all aspects of a project Support and collaborate with other project leaders on integrated initiatives Lead teams to translate generalized customer business goals and objectives into concrete strategy and tactical plans Utilize and apply an understanding of budgeting, project management and resource management to assigned projects Apply NMHC project management and change management methodologies Demonstrated presentation and written communication skills Apply strong facilitation skills to lead project meetings Has the ability to deal with a changing environment and to lead/facilitate and manage change efficiently and effectively where appropriate. Collaborate with other system functions as required on projects Collaborate with other system functions as required on projects (e.g., IT, Quality, Analytics, Patient Experience, etc.) Coach leaders on the application of project management methods and/or best practices. Participate in system-wide training efforts on project management methodology. Provides project management support for multiple clinical quality improvement initiatives and outcome-focused projects. Manages project activities, including issue resolution, documentation, data analysis and modeling, and project status reporting. Leads, facilitates, and participates in meetings with clinical sponsors, leaders, and key stakeholders. Collaborates across departments and disciplines to ensure alignment of project plans and achievement of clinical quality objectives. Identifies risks, barriers, and issues affecting project success and escalates concerns appropriately and in a timely manner. Supports and coordinates change management activities for clinical initiatives, including pilot implementation, workflow optimization, stakeholder engagement, and incorporation of user feedback to enhance operational processes and technology adoption. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree Familiarity with clinical quality and performance benchmarking databases, including Vizient. Experience working in an acute care clinical environment with demonstrated ability to support complex clinical initiatives and project management activities. Knowledge of healthcare quality metrics, performance improvement methodologies, and clinical operations. Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical leaders, and interdisciplinary teams. Experience Additionally, must have 3-7 years of relevant project management knowledge and expertise. Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization.
