About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership in global information security, disaster recovery, IT risk management, and compliance programs. This role demands a visionary leader with a strong technical background, including a minimum of 15 years' in information security, 5 years' as a CISO, and 7-10 years' in the pharmaceutical industry. The CISO will be the key liaison for security matters, requiring excellent collaboration skills across various disciplines, and will be tasked with setting the direction for comprehensive security programs that meet regulatory and compliance mandates. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in IT, business, or a related discipline, with a Master's degree preferred, and industry-recognized certifications in information security and risk management. They should be a well-respected team player, a great communicator, and a passionate individual with a no-nonsense approach to achieving goals. Responsibilities include leading the development of security standards, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring security compliance, and fostering a culture of security awareness. The CISO will also be responsible for the development and retention of cybersecurity talent, as well as overseeing effective disaster recovery and incident response management programs.
