Administrative Patient Services Representative Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where compassionate patient support and efficient service are top priorities. This full-time, day shift role focuses on managing patient flow with professionalism and care. The Patient Services Representative is responsible for ensuring smooth patient processing and providing exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience. Warmly greet patients and assist with their needs in a respectful and professional manner. Register patients by accurately collecting demographic and insurance information. Enter patient data into the system with minimal errors and collect co-pays as required. Answer phone calls promptly, triage patient inquiries, and communicate patient care needs with clinical teams. Manage incoming referrals by gathering necessary records, films, and orders for appointments. Scan and organize patient documents and charts efficiently. Schedule and track patient appointments, including obtaining authorizations when necessary. Collaborate with team members to complete work queues in electronic health record systems and correct identified errors. Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and organized manner. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from an accredited medical receptionist program or have at least two years of experience in a healthcare setting. Two years of medical clerical experience in an office environment is preferred, along with proficiency in word processing and personal computing. Experience with medical insurance processes is also advantageous. No certification or license is required for this position. This role requires close mental and visual attention for extended periods and the ability to work under stressful conditions due to customer demands. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, carrying or lifting items up to 10 pounds, turning, pushing, pulling, and stooping.
