Job Summary for Technical Engineer II
- Role: Technical Engineer II (Contract through March 2027, possible FTE conversion)
- Location: Buffalo, NY (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
- Team: 4 team members + 1 Product Owner
- Interview: Virtual (Round 1), In-person for locals (Round 2)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain infrastructure for vendor-hosted financial services platforms.
- Coordinate between business and technology teams to ensure project success.
- Monitor project progress and maintain initiative timelines.
- Participate in testing, QA, and validation activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and system diagrams.
- Assist with document management, scanning, and archiving (7-year retention).
- Support commercial and payment processing systems and vendor-managed applications.
- Contribute to light development efforts as needed.
Technologies/Systems:
- Experience/exposure to RPS, R360, Delux/Deluxe platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio or similar diagramming/documentation tools.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Quick learner of new systems and business processes.
- Effective communicator with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience in testing, QA, and technical documentation.
- Ability to create process flows and technical diagrams.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
Preferred:
- Banking or financial services industry experience.

- Fast learning capability.
- Strong questioning and analytical skills.
- Clear communication between business and technical teams.
- Documentation and diagramming proficiency.
