Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive background in providing high-quality nursing care while working on a telemetry unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in a telemetry setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families about health management.
• Assist with patient mobility and daily living activities.

Qualifications:

• Must possess 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Current NIH Stroke certification.
• Ability to float between units as needed.

Work Schedule:

This position requires working night shifts consisting of 4 twelve-hour shifts per week. Weekend availability is required every other weekend.

Additional Information:

• Guaranteed hours based on contracted shifts, with a call-off policy of 2 shifts per 13-week assignment.
• Must be open to block scheduling and flexible to unit needs.
• Local candidates are not accepted due to a 50-mile radius restriction.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.

Return Staff Policy:

Individuals who have previously worked in this system must be away for a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler. There is a limit of 2 contracts with the same facility, after which candidates must be away for 6 months before reapplying.

Facility Information:

This is a short-term acute care facility with a Level III Trauma Center designation and serves as a teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds. The charting system utilized is Epic.
