Compliance Specialist

What You'll Do:
- Conduct compliance audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, contracts, and organizational policies.
- Monitor compliance trends, analyze findings, and provide recommendations that support quality improvement and operational excellence.
- Serve as a resource on documentation integrity by providing guidance, training, and support to staff on compliance and record-keeping standards.
- Review and process HIPAA-compliant record release requests and maintain documentation according to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership and quality teams to implement corrective action plans, support regulatory readiness, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and relevant healthcare, behavioral health, compliance, or quality experience will be considered.
- Minimum of three years of experience in compliance, auditing, quality assurance, clinical documentation review, or a related role within healthcare or behavioral health.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, documentation requirements, and quality improvement practices, with experience reviewing records for accuracy and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and a behavioral health background are preferred.
