This role balances specialized psychological assessment and special education consultation with direct student support and social-emotional advocacy across the PK-5 developmental spectrum. Core Responsibilities Special Education & Assessment: Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and triennial re-evaluations in accordance with state and federal special education laws. IEP Integration: Present evaluation results at Team meetings and integrate clinical findings into Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Consultation: Participate in regular consultation and collaboration with building-based teams and the district-wide psychological department. Advocacy: Advocate for students at IEP meetings and other student-focused meetings to ensure equity and access. Logistics: Effectively manage time and caseload across two school sites to ensure consistent support for both student populations. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Advanced Degree: Master’s or Specialist degree (CAGS/Ed.S) in School Psychology. Licensure: Valid DESE certification/licensure as a School Psychologist. Standards: Commitment to upholding NASP ethical and professional standards. Experience: Previous experience in an elementary setting or with the PK-5 population is preferred. John Robinson School The John A. Crisafulli Elementary School welcomes children in grades three through five, opened in the fall of 2002. The school was built to educate 525 students in 24 classroom spaces, and presently educates 357 students in 18 classrooms with six third, six fourth, and six fifth grade sections. Each year, the staff develops routines to create caring learning communities within each classroom. The Colonel John Robinson Elementary School is one of three PK-2 schools in the town of Westford.
