Imaging Technologist

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership. Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures. To be successful in this role, you will skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment. Key responsibilities include: Ensure a safe environment related to equipment, bed/cart rails, and mental status. Provide nuclear medicine education that includes explanation and rationale for all tests, equipment, and procedures explaining to patient/parents/caregivers prior to performance. Allow control and choices over situations and environment, as appropriate to condition and situation. Allow parents/caregivers to hold neonate during nuclear medicine procedure when possible. Demonstrate clinical knowledge of expected neonate/infant/pediatric responses during nuclear medicine procedures. Keep parents/caregivers in field of view. Explain all nuclear medicine procedures in language that is age appropriate. Required Qualifications Experience operating equipment and evaluating images, including anatomy and pathology so that additional images in varying positions may be obtained if necessary for correct diagnosis. One or more years of experience in the modality. Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT. Must have one of the following certifications: registry or certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RG ARRT, CT ARRT, CT CATHTECH, CT MMRT, CT MRITECH, CT XRT), the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CT NMT), or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RG ARDMS). Also a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pediatric Sonography. BLS – American Heart Association. Medical Radiographer: Nevada license. Must complete quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility. Preferred Qualifications Associates degree.
